Vanbassador Van Tour | How I Hide My Shower

Due to popular demand, I’ve recorded a complete walk-through of my converted Mercedes Sprinter Van to show you what El Capitan Vans and I had been working on for the last year. I had it remodeled to serve as a mobile studio as I travel on the road to interview emerging global founders and leaders about their entrepreneurial story and ecommerce insights that they had gained along their journey. Sound like you? Click here to start watching and learning from other ecommerce entrepreneurs now.

Watch for a full tour of the custom features (some of which haven’ t yet been done in a van) along with my commentary on things you may want to consider including (or excluding) from your van build.

Below is a list of time stamps and shoppable product links of van parts that I’ve purchased and recommend. These links are meant to help guide you on your journey but we encourage you to do your own research. What works for me may not be the right fit for your needs.

time stamps and product links

0:43 — Kitchen Sink and Stove Top Area

2:25 Hidden Bathroom/Shower

Check out the secret hidden indoor shower and toilet design (placed under one side of the sofa with a curtain that attaches via magnet on thin stainless steel coated metal overhead steel plate). The van comes with a 40 gallon fresh water tank and grey water tank with bracketry (mounted under vehicle) bathroom. The showering area also comes with a black splash shower wall for ultimate waterproofing.

4:283-Person Sleeping Area Options

  • Above the dining area/removable table fixture is a convertible double sleeper option for two adults with honeycomb aluminum fixed bed cushions

  • Dense foam flip sofa sleeper seating is made of luxury leather and convert into additional sleeping space

5:46Kitchen Cabinetry

Watch to check out the built-in microwave and fully latch-able kitchen cabinet doors to prevent kitchen items from falling out during travel. I’ve also included a shoppable list of the kitchen items I couldn’t live without in my van:

5:58Foldable Divider Attachment for Overnight Privacy

6:22 Additional Seating Options

6:38 — Stow-Away Table with Adjustable Height and Swivel

This is great to serve as eating, working and additional cooking prep space in the van depending on the occasion. It’s easily tucked away in a side compartment when not in use.

7:45 — Window Features and Black-Out Shades

8:00Hidden Storage for Regulation-Sized Carry-On Suitcase

This compartment may primarily be for storage, but it also can be used for as seating and additional table top space. Watch to also see the handles it comes with on both sides and cup holders!

9:02 — Extension Cords

This is where I have access to all plugs (regular, USB and USB-C which are always charged).

9:26 — Above Dashboard Area

  • What’s great about this area is that it comes with a complete metal and suction cup surface to easily hold my keys, mask and other miscellaneous items that I want quick access to.

  • I also added additional holes to run and hide any extra electrical systems or cords.

10:08 — Back of Van Tour

11:22 — Interior Lighting and Fan System

Amazon Alexa Voice Control is wired to 4 switches to control overhead light, mood light and two max fans with multiple air circulation and fan speeds options. The interior lighting system also comes with 8 separate push button LED lights.

Last but not least…
